Youth Rebuilding New Orleans (YRNO) is an organization open to all public, private, and
parochial students.  Our overall purpose is to be a facilitator for local youth to become
involved in the recovery and rebirth of the New Orleans area.

OUR VISION

As future leaders of this city, region, and state, it is we the youth who must act now to
bring about a better quality of life for our future. The doors of our flooded homes are
literally open for change. And the youth must be a symbol for this change . How we
build for our future- together, in collaboration- is key to this change. Building
community comes with rebuilding homes.

OUR PASSION

Rebuilding efforts are not only aimed at rebuilding the sticks and bricks of devastated
families, but at revitalizing the emotional and spiritual health of each neighbor, and
thus, collectively, reenergizing the soul of our city. We will transform the boundless
energy and optimism of youth into hope for lifeless neighborhoods.
